Sputnikat
Alexander Brener and Barbara Schurz, self-proclaimed art world deserters, made 32 drawings, depicting wild, primordial sex scenes, taking us back to the Palaeolithic age, free from oppressive systems and prejudices imposed by contemporary society. Sputnikat’s Kameeellah, being a large fan of Alexander’s and Barbara’s drawings and worldview, edited this issue of Risunki, a drawing zine series, invented and curated by Sputnikat’s Christopher.
This Friday, Sputnikat* is coming to Tbilisi and will launch the new zine and bring their other publications to the Odradek bookstore. They will also give a presentation and talk about their 10 years experience of running a small indie publishing house, printing with risograph and making comics.
*Sputnikat is an indie comics publisher, founded by British comics artist and comics/illustration teacher Christopher Rainbow in Moscow in 2016. Run by Christopher and Kameeellah.
